The HSE objectives defined by Pars Tamin Mining Development Company have been developed in line with its strategic objectives and include the following:

General Objectives

  • Reduce occupational accidents and diseases
  • Reduce environmental pollution
  • Improve employee awareness and training

Specific Objectives

  • Assess workplace safety and health risks
  • Conduct pre-employment and periodic medical examinations
  • Provide necessary HSE training
  • Assess environmental risks and take corrective action

Pars Tamin Mining Development Company appoints HSE specialists with relevant education and experience to implement occupational protection laws, control human errors, and consequently prevent and reduce human and financial losses. Through training, inspections, encouragement, and, when necessary, disciplinary measures, these specialists guide employees in complying with safety regulations and instructions.

All processes and activities will undergo periodic risk assessment based on the risk assessment method approved by HSE management or the procedure for identifying and assessing environmental aspects and occupational health and safety hazards. If the risk level is unacceptable, control measures will be defined immediately, and the relevant activities will be suspended until the work is made safe. Risks associated with identified hazards and relevant aspects will be reported daily by the project HSE specialist, with the active participation of other operational personnel, in accordance with the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) risk assessment method.

Environmental Aspects

The major and foreseeable environmental aspects associated with work activities in the company’s projects can be briefly summarized as follows:

Polluting aspects include:

  • Air pollutant emissions caused by exhaust fumes from project machinery
  • Wastewater discharge
  • Waste generation

Consumptive aspects include:

  • Consumption of raw materials
  • Energy consumption
  • Water consumption
  • Generation of waste materials
  • Energy emissions (through heat, vibration, radiation, noise, and light)
  • Use of space

The following factors will be considered for all identified hazards:

  • Personnel and stakeholders involved in the activity
  • Equipment used in the activity
  • The impact of people and equipment on the environment (water, soil, and air)

Throughout the project, all personnel will be continuously encouraged to identify, correct, and update hazards whenever possible as part of their responsibilities.
