Dr. Ali Babaei Karnami, the Chairman of the Parliament’s Social Commission, stated during a visit to the Taftan Gold Factory: “One of the policies of the sacred system of the Islamic Republic is to eliminate deprivation and invest in various sectors, especially in provinces such as Sistan and Baluchestan, which are eligible for investment.”

He added: “Shasta and TASICO have done this very well, using the capacities of the region. They have also implemented tasks related to social responsibility with the approach of increasing human resource productivity and sustainable employment in the region.”
The Chairman of the Parliament’s Social Commission, while thanking the TASICO managers, emphasized: “More support should be provided by the Parliament and the government for the development of the Taftan Gold Factory.” In this regard, it was decided that this issue, the needs of Taftan Gold and its weaknesses, will be examined in the form of 15 cases within the scope of the mission of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, as well as in the Social Commission, in order to resolve many of the problems of this complex today.
The representative of the people of Sari in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, pointing out that the Assembly is on the side of the government officials, stated: “The president’s view is certainly the same and he will support such projects that invest in these areas. Government ministers, especially the Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, also have this view.” Babai Karnami continued: “Although about seven months have passed since the Taftan Gold Factory was put into operation, from the perspective of factory and business indicators, it is better than many factories that have a history of 10 or 15 years or more. This indicates that attention has been paid to the scientific foundations, the abilities of the people of the region, and the existing capacities. Giving priority to social responsibility with an education perspective was a very subtle point that I realized today. Also, paying attention to the health, safety and education of the region and finally giving importance to interaction with the people of the region is also of great importance, which has been given special attention in the implementation process of this project and the construction of this factory.” He stated: We will definitely categorize and follow up on the weaknesses and problems that exist in this region. We must meet the concerns and expectations that the people of the region have from the central government, considering the recent powers that the president and the speaker of the parliament gave to the border governors. Looking at the trade balance and increasing exports and paying attention to domestic production, especially the provinces of these regions, should be a special look. This is the duty of the representatives and to support 100 percent of the production, technical and engineering capacity within the country. The head of the Social Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly said: The parliament and the government will definitely pay more attention to economic enterprises that invest in deprived areas and we will use all capacities such as taxes, social security, etc. to be able to support them. In the parliament, we even identified the weaknesses of the Seventh Development Plan in Article 45 and will correct them on November 22, because deprived areas should have more support and patronage.
