The Pars 6 area, covering 18 square kilometers, holds an Exploration License in Sistan and Baluchestan Province. It is located 125 kilometers south to southeast of Zahedan and 40 kilometers north of Khash County. The Pars 6 exploration area is located in the southeastern Iranian zone and, according to the map of Iran’s structural-sedimentary units, encompasses part of the Nehbandan–Khash Flysch Zone. The exposed units in the Pars 6 area are associated with the Taftan volcano. This volcano belongs to the Makran Magmatic Arc, which extends approximately east–west, parallel to the general trend of the Makran accretionary prisms. The main alteration processes in the Pars 6 area are, respectively, argillic, silicic, and silicic–argillic alteration.

From a lithological perspective, the Pars 6 exploration area comprises a mélange unit consisting of shale, carbonate rocks, and ultramafic rocks of Late Cretaceous age; a sedimentary-metamorphic unit composed of metaslate to slate of Late Cretaceous to Eocene age; extrusive igneous units with andesitic composition; pyroclastic fall rocks consisting of lithic tuff; volcanic breccia; and lahar of Quaternary age. In the Pars 6 exploration area, during the reconnaissance and identification exploration phase, one geological map sheet at a scale of 1:10,000 covering an area of 18 square kilometers was prepared, 100 lithogeochemical samples were collected and analyzed systematically using a 250×250-meter grid, 30 thin and polished sections were collected and studied, 1,012 surface samples were collected and analyzed using a non-systematic method to identify gold and copper mineralization anomalies, 150 samples were collected and analyzed systematically using a 100×100-meter grid, and 5 kilometers of roads were constructed. During the detailed exploration phase, which is currently underway, one geological map sheet at a scale of 1:5,000 covering an area of 6 square kilometers is being prepared, one geological map sheet at a scale of 1:1,000 covering an area of 230 hectares is being prepared, a topographic map at a scale of 1:1,000 and an orthophoto covering an area of 400 hectares are being prepared, 500 meters of exploration trenches have been excavated, 500 trench samples are being collected and analyzed, sites are being prepared for drilling exploration boreholes, and 283 geophysical points are being designed using the Audio-Magnetotelluric (AMT) method, which is currently underway.
